Associate Prof. Megan Maher

Megan was awarded a PhD from the University of Melbourne. She held fellowships at the University of Sydney and Centenary Institute and positions at Imperial College, London and La Trobe University. Megan was awarded the Georgina Sweet Award for Women in Quantitative Biomedical Science (2017) and an ARC Future Fellowship (2018). Megan joined the School of Chemistry and Bio21 at the University of Melbourne in 2019.
Research Interests
Megan’s current research focuses on investigating the role of trace metals in biological systems, with a particular focus on the structural biology of metalloproteins and integral membrane protein transporters.
