Associate Prof. Michael Griffin

Michael is Associate Professor in the department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the Bio21 Institute, University of Melbourne. He completed his PhD at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and has been the recipient of the ARC Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship, the C.R. Roper Fellowship and the ARC Future Fellowship.

Research Interests

The focus of the Griffin Lab is the structural biology of large macromolecular complexes, with an emphasis on understanding the assembly of cytokine signalling complexes, their contribution to numerous diseases and the development of new therapeutics that target inflammation promoting cytokines.
