Denise Wootten is a Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash University, and an NHMRC Senior Research Fellow. Her expertise is in the study of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Denise is node leader at Monash University, and co-leads the metabolic receptor biology group.
Research Interests
Denise’s laboratory studies class B GPCRs, important targets for the treatment of metabolic diseases. Her multidisciplinary research program encompasses structural & computational biology, molecular modelling, cell signalling assays, bioassays and preclinical animal models to understand receptor activation and signalling, and to inform novel drug development.
